My Favorite Things

My favorite things...hmmm...well, I have to start with my very favorite. My Saviour. Jesus Christ is by far my favorite thing. Without Him and His unending grace for me, I couldn't make it through this crazy world!  He is forever faithful, strong, loving, forgiving, and every other sought after trait.

 This one is pretty obvious, but I can't leave it out:) Can you guess? If you guessed ballet, then you are the grand winner!!!  I love this so much.  Ballet is so hard, but yet so rewarding.  Sometimes, I ask myself why I'm dancing and it's because it gives me joy.  The beautiful perfection of  movement covering all the pain.  Ballet takes my breath away!

I love photography and have been getting good practice taking pictures of my fellow ballerinas. I love to capture still moments of life. Like a memory preserved in a pretty little frame. 

This is probably not the best quality for a ballerina, but it's true.  I love to cook.  I make my food pretty and tasty.  Ballerina's are more lovely when wearing a gorgeous tutu, just like food is better when properly displayed.  That's is probably just a wierd quality in me:)

I can't forget reading. I adore reading!!  I could read all day and still love it!  Books are like friends...only better they can't get on your nerves:)  I love they look all lined up on my bookshelve. So interesting and inviting.  This is making me want to go read!

A Little Background

Hi! I'm Arden!  I'm 14 and have been dancing for eleven years(I think? after a while the years start running together).  I go to a little ballet studio in Texas and am currently in the Senior Company.   My sister is also a dancer, which is really fun. She is four years older than me and is a wonderful role model in dancing and everything else:)  My Company is really close-knit and we love each other like sisters!  Every year we put on Bailondo, Nutcracker, a spring show and end of the year recital. Plus, other random performances that spread the arts in our community. Needless to say, we perform a LOT!  I go to a private christian school that, when combined with my crazy ballet schedule, keeps me very busy!!!  I have two brothers, a sister and a very cute beagle!  In addition to ballet, I love cooking, photography, reading, crafts and writing.  I hope to share ideas with other dancers about hairstyles, dancing tips, fun crafts that can be used for ballet and lots more!
